10th April 2023, EmONC Improvement plan for building a Network of functional Basic and Comprehensive EmONC facilities in Pakistan
10th April 2023, consultative workshop was organized by PPW Mo NHSRC at Population Resource Center in collaboration with UNFPA, HSA, WHO and UNICEF to finalize the EmONC Improvement plan for building a Network of functional Basic and Comprehensive EmONC facilities in Pakistan. The experts from PIMS, Polyclinic and DHO office participated in this workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to allow the network of BEmONC and CEmONC services to be strengthened and new facilities to be established to improve maternal and newborn health indicators and lower mortality rates. To implement the plan, all stakeholders contributed their ideas and opinions. After been tested in Islamabad, a similar model will be replicated throughout Pakistan.
